Inter-state gang of robbers busted, booty recovered

An alleged inter-state gang of robbers has been busted with the arrest of five persons, police said today.

SSP Nitin Tiwari said that four cars, 10 LED and five LCD TVs, five cellphones and cash was recovered from the accused along with two countrymade pistols and three knives.

The accused were arrested last night from the Banthla area here, police said.

The gang-members, identified as Gopal, Sunil, Vakil, Imran and Wasim, have confessed to carrying out several robberies in several states, including in the National Capital Region, Tiwari added.
