Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association (Jammu) today gave ultimatum to the BJP MLAs to clear their stand on the issue of AIIMS in the region till May 23.

The ultimatum was given in the meeting of Association held here with the representatives of various political parties, business, social and religious organisations.

The bar also said that a coordination committee would be formed to fight for the rights of Jammu people.

"We have decided today to constitute a coordination committee to fight for the cause of Jammu. It will be non-political...And will be announced in two to three days", said Pranav Kohli, vice president Jammu Bar association

The next course of action on the AIIMs issue would be taken in the meeting on May 23, he added.

He said that the coordination committee will be drawn from various organisations to ensure a pressure group on the political leadership of the Jammu region.

Yesterday, the Jammu bar association had suspended work in the High Court and all subordinate courts in the region to protest the reported shifting of AIIMS to Kashmir.

It may be recalled that Jammu's civil Society had formed a committee called 'Sangarish Samiti" to supervise 2008 Amarnath land row agitation.
