KTR urges legislators to celebrate national handloom day

Telangana Industries Minister K T Rama Rao today urged legislators in the state to celebrate the National Handloom Day on August 7 in a big way to promote the use of handloom clothes.

In a letter to MPs, MLAs and MLCs in the state, he said handlooms is the second largest sector after agriculture in providing work, a state government release said.

Rama Rao urged the legislators to wear handloom clothing and take up activities like 'Handloom Run' for the promotion.
