Lead down by 0.9% as global trend weakens

Sluggish domestic demand also affected prices

Lead fell 0.95% to Rs 109.85 per kg in futures trade today after participants reduced exposure amid a weak trend overseas and sluggish domestic demand.

At Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in December month contract was trading Rs 1.05, or 0.95%, down at Rs 109.85 per kg in a business turnover of 11 lots.

Also, metal for delivery November month shed 95 paise, or 0.87% to Rs 109.85 per kg in 210 lots.

Analysts said weakness in base metals at the London Metal Exchange and muted from battery-makers in the domestic spot market kept pressure on metal prices.
