Lead gains by 0.2% on spot demand

Lead futures rose marginally by 0.22% to Rs 115.60 per kg today amid demand at the domestic spot market and a firming global trend.
At Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in June traded higher by 25 paise, or 0.22%, to Rs 115.60 per kg, with a turnover of 535 lots.
The metal for delivery in July gained 25 paise, or 0.21%, to Rs 116.75 per kg in a business volume of six lots.
Analysts said apart from domestic demand, mainly from battery-makers, the metal's gain in overseas market too influenced lead prices in futures trade.
