Lenovo launches IdeaPad A10, priced Rs 19,990

Leading personal computer maker Lenovo today announced the launch of the IdeaPad A10, priced at Rs 19,990.

IdeaPad A10 is Android based dual-mode notebook, the company in a release said, adding, it comes with 10-point multi-touch and flips 300 degree.

"A10 weighs approx. 1 kg; it features a 10.1 inch screen display and enables users to instantly switch between two modes - laptop and stand," it added.

LocalBanya.Com raises funding from Karmvir Avant Group * Mumbai-based online supermarket LocalBanya.Com has raised funds from Karmvir Avant Group.

The series A funding, the details of which were not disclosed, will help accelerate the company's growth and equip it to service its growing customer base better.
 

"This cash inflow empowers us with the resources to scale up operations, recruiting and marketing efforts which in turn will fuel growth," LocalBanya co-founder Rashi Choudhary said in a statement.

The website will start servicing Thane and Navi Mumbai this month and expand presence to two more cities by mid-2014. It processes around 400 deliveries every day with a team of over 100 employees. It has also received funding from BCCL's Springboard investment in July last year.

Knowlarity acquires Unicom

* Knowlarity Communications today said it has acquired Unicom Techlabs, a cloud telephony start-up based in the City for an undisclosed amount.

With this acquisition, Knowlarity acquires Unicom's 200 plus customers in SMB, e-Commerce, real estate, healthcare, education and media segment, it said in a statement.

Besides customers, Knowlarity will also get full ownership of intellectual propriety belonging to the company.

Knowlarity, with operations in more than 65 countries, caters to 6,000 paid customers and one lakh free users. It aims to reach an annual turnover of Rs 75 crore by 2015.

Lotus Greens launches Green app to measure carbon footprint * Lotus Greens today launched a Green App, which will help users measure and track their carbon footprint and suggest ways to reduce it.

A carbon footprint is the measurement of carbon dioxide that one puts into the atmosphere while going about daily routine.

The carbon calculator can be accessed online as well as downloaded from Google play store on Android phones.
