Leopard dies of old age in Kanpur zoo

A 13-year-old male leopard in Kanpur zoo today died following age-related illness, zoo authorities said.

The leopard, Saddam, had not been consuming food and water since two days and the doctors were examining his condition, Zoo Director Mukesh Kumar said.

According to postmortem report, the leopard, who was born here, died due to old age.

Life span of a leopard is 12 to 15 years.
