Life imprisonment to 9 for murder of Youth Congress leader

A local court today sentenced nine persons to life imprisonment in a murder case of a Youth Congress leader in 2011.

The court of Additional District Judge awarded life terms to Sahiram Fauji, Shankarlal Jat, Devkishan Jat, Chetanram Jat, Girdharlal Jat, Tejaram Jat, Mohanram Jat, Vikar Puri and Mohammad Ameen, Ganesh Gehlot, public prosecutor Mukesh Acharya said.

They were convicted under sections 302/149 (murder), 147 (rioting), 148 (Rioting, armed with deadly weapon), 149 (unlawful assembly) of IPC in the murder case of Youth Congress leader Ramkishan Siyag who was shot dead at Bhinasar bus stand on February 24, 2011.
