Light rain, fog in parts of UP dips temperature

Light rain at isolated places in western Uttar Pradesh and shallow fog in certain parts of the state pushed down minimum temperature in Gorakhpur, Faizabad and Moradabad divisions, the MeT office said today.

Weather was dry over eastern Uttar Pradesh.

Aligarh and Muzaffarnagar were the coldest places in the state with a low of 7.4 degrees Celsius.

The MeT office also said that night temperatures fell appreciably in Bareilly and Agra divisions.

It forecast that weather will remain cold and dry tomorrow in the state with dense fog likely at isolated places in western Uttar Pradesh.
