Two-wheeler maker LML today said it will temporarily suspend production activity for three months starting May 6 to carry out maintenance work and look at suitability of present facilities to produce three-wheelers.
The company is required to temporarily suspend production activity with effect from May 6 to carry out maintenance work, which is overdue for long, check the adequacy of the present facilities for taking up manufacturing of light three-wheelers, LML said in a regulatory filing.
Besides, the company aims to look at realignment of the plant, machinery and other related activity for the same, if required, it added.

"Barring unforeseen circumstances, the above (suspension of work) is likely to take about three months," the company said.
The company, which used to make the iconic LML Vespa in collaboration with Italy's Piaggio & C Spa, is in a downward spiral after its break-up with Piaggio in 1999 and a lock-out at its Kanpur factory in 2006.
