Man held for carrying pistol in Delhi Metro

CISF apprehended one Mohal Lal Patel, a resident of a village near Allahabad, when the X-ray machine detected a pistol inside his baggage.

"The incident had occured on Saturday (June 16) and Patel has been arrested under the provisions of the Arms Act," a CISF official said.

Five lady pickpockets were also apprehended from Mandi House Metro station the same day, the official said.

Central Indusrtrial Security Force (CISF) personnel, Tapas Majhi and Bhagya Laxmi, who were involved in checking both the incidents will be rewarded, the official said.
