A 22-year-old woman was seriously injured after her throat was slit by her brother-in-law following a heated argument in Pakka Talab area here today, police said.
"Dharamvir and his unmarried sister-in-law Preeti had some heated arguments this morning. In a gush of anger, he slit her throat with a sharp weapon," said SHO City Kotwali Dhirendra Yadav.
"Preeti, who was bleeding profusely, was rushed to the district hospital by her sister. She was referred to GTB Hospital in North East Delhi where she is recovering after surgery," police said.
"Accused Dharamvir is at large," the officer added.
