Moderate earthquake strikes Assam
A moderate earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale jolted Assam and the rest of north east India at around 6.35 am today.
The epicentre was located near Kokrajhar at a depth of 10 kilometres. There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
