Monsoon showers continued to lash parts of north India killing seven persons in landslides in Uttarakhand today.
In view of the water level of Rapti river in Uttar Pradesh rising above the danger mark, the Centre issued an alert cautioning authorities to be prepared.

Turtipar, Balrampur recorded the most rainfall at 9 cm, followed by Kakardharighat, Utraulla, Salempur 8 cm, Gonda, Chanderdeepghat, Nazibabad 7 cm, Sambhal, Ballia, Ghazipur, Biswan 6 cm, Bahraich, Khalilabad, Baheri, Bisalpur 5 cm, and Ayodhya, Dharuhera, Sahabad, Powayan, and Sahjahanpur 4 cm.
