Nickel prices rose 0.19 per cent to Rs 697.40 per kg in special Muhurat trading today as participants created fresh positions to mark the start of Samvat year 2073.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, Nickel for delivery in November month rose by Rs 1.30, or 0.19 per cent, to Rs 697.40 per kg in business turnover of 74 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in October month contracts traded higher by Rs 1.10, or 0.16 per cent to Rs 693.50 per kg in 149 lots.
Market analysts said fresh positions built up by traders who opened their new accounts on the first session of Samvat year 2073 mainly influenced nickel prices at futures trade.
