Fifteen village panchayats of Haryana have been selected for Nirmal Gram Puraskaar 2013 under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's initiative Swachh Bharat Mission.
Five out of the 15 village panchayats, have been selected from district Gurgaon alone, a Haryana Government release said here today.
These are Bashariya, Dabuda and Dhanawas of Farukhnagar Block and Khanpur and Ransika of Pataudi Block in Gurgaon district, it said.
Survey of these village panchayats was conducted by two teams of Central government and one team of state government and they were selected for awards for making proper arrangements to maintain cleanliness in the villages, the release said.
"587 Gram panchayats from all over the country have been selected for Nirmal Gram Puraskaar-2013 under Swachh Bharat Mission, which would be awarded by the President," it said.
