National Student Union of India (NSUI) today organised a bilingual debate on whether Nehruvian ideals of Secularism and Pluralism are the bedrock of Indian Nationalism.
"Over 100 participants from various colleges of Delhi University debated the role and importance of Nehruvian Socialism and secularism at present," NSUI National President Roji M John said.
The jury for the bilingual debate competition titled 'Manthan' included Vinod Sharma Political Editor of Hindustan Times and Mridula Mukherjee Professor at Centre for Historical Studies at Jawahar Lal Nehru University (JNU).

"The team of Dayal Singh College represented by Anju and Shashank Tiwari was adjudged the Best Speaker Team (Hindi) while the Best Speaker team (English) was won by the team from Kamla Nehru College including Kriti Mehta and Arushi Pathak," Spokesperson NSUI, Amrish Ranjan Pandey said.
The prize distribution ceremony was also attended by Amarinder Singh Lovely, DPCC President and Girish Chodankar.
