Odisha approves supplementary budget, to be presnted on Nov 29

Finance Minister Prasanna Acharya would table the supplimentary budget barely two days after commencement of the state assembly's winter session on November 27.

The council of ministers meeting presided by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik approved the supplimentary budget last night.

The size of the supplimentary budget was about Rs 3,900 crore for the 2012-13 fiscal, less than the previous year's supplimentary budget amounting Rs 4724.62, sources said.

They said the size of the supplimentary budget was reduced in view of the less spending by different departments.
