One charred to death in fireworks factory godown

One person was today charred to death and another seriously injured in a fire that broke out in the godown of a fireworks factory here where chemicals had been stored, police said.

Thangapandian (30) died while his colleague Pethuraj (40) was seriously injured, police said.

The fire was doused by fire service personnel.

The injured has been admitted to hospital.

Reason for the fire is under investigation, police said.
