Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will visit Turkey tomorrow to discuss the Yemen crisis with the Turkish leadership.

Prime Minister Sharif held a telephonic conversation with Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday and it was decided that he should undertake a visit to in-depth consultations.

"Given the excellent relations between Pakistan and Turkey and the personal rapport between the leadership of the two countries, the Prime Minister and the President of Turkey will exchange views on the situation relating to Yemen," the Foreign Office said.

The two leaders will also discuss how the two countries can be helpful in addressing the issue of Yemen, where Saudi Arabia has launched air strikes after Houti rebels took control of the country.

Pakistan is under pressure to provide troops in aid of the 10-nation coalition led by Saudi Arabia.

It is believed that Pakistan and Turkey will try to resolve the conflict which has potential to divide the Muslim countries on sectarian lines.
