Police constable in Nashik held for accepting Rs 50,000 bribe

The sleuths of the Anti- Corruption bureau (ACB) today arrested a police constable while allegedly accepting a bribe amount of Rs 50,000 from a sand supplier to release his truck.
Vikram Gholap, attached to Jaykheda police station in Nashik district had demanded the money to release the truck that was impounded by rural police, a release issued by the ACB said.
The ACB officials laid a trap and apprehended Gholap while he was allegedly accepting the amount at Nampur police station, the release added.
