Press Trust of India Coimbatore
: City based printing press owners were today cautioned by police against printing objectionable and provocative posters or flex boards, which they felt might trigger violence or cause law and order problems.

At a meeting held at the City Police Commissioner's office senior officials asked the owners to alert them in case they were approached to print messages which could trigger violence or create law and problem.

The meeting was conducted in view of the uneasy calm prevailing in the city after the murder of Hindu Munnani functionary C Sasikumar on September 22, which led to violence during his funeral procession the following day, a department release said here.

Police have taken over 160 persons into custody as preventive measures in the aftermath of the violent incident.

Police warned the owners of legal action if they violate the directive.
