Prez hopes India, Mexico will further consolidate ties

The President also conveyed warm felicitations to Enrique Pena Nieto on his election and assumption of office as the President of the United Mexican States.

It is a matter of satisfaction that the bilateral ties are based on shared values of democracy, rule of law and pluralism and have evolved significantly and successfully into a 'Privileged Partnership' with well established institutional mechanisms, a press release from Rashtrapati Bhavan said.

"The President of India has said that he looked forward to working with the Mexican President towards further consolidation and development of the multi-dimensional partnership between the two countries, in the years ahead," it said.

 

Mukherjee also extended an invitation to the Mexican President to visit India at a mutually convenient date.
