Refined soya oil prices declined by 0.45 per cent to Rs 612.50 per 10 kg in futures market today as traders trimmed positions amid low demand at the spot market against adequate stocks.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in far-month February traded lower by Rs 2.75, or 0.45 per cent, to Rs 612.50 per 10 kg, with an open interest of 84,970 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in January shed Rs 1.95, or 0.32 per cent, to Rs 616.30 per 10 kg in 71,410 lots.
Market analysts attributed the fall in refined soya oil futures to muted demand at the spot market against adequate stocks on higher supplies from producing belts.
