Refined soya oil prices were up by 0.26 per cent to Rs 661.65 per 10 kg in futures trade today as traders raised their bets amid rising demand in the spot market.

Furthermore, restricted supplies from producing belts supported the upside.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in far-month July rose by Rs 1.70 or 0.26 per cent to 661.65 per 10 kg with an open interest of 1,04,950 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in June contracts edged up by 45 paise or 0.07 per cent to Rs 648.95 per 10 kg in 55,310 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions created by participants, driven by pick up in demand in the spot market mainly led to the rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
