Renowned industrialist Velayudhan passes away

Renowned industrialist and film producer Sudarshan Velayudhan died at his residence here today.

Velayudhan was 83.

He died of multiple organ failure around 2 PM, family sources said.

Velayudhan, husband of actress K R Vijaya had produced nearly 60 films in Tamil and Malayalam.

He owns firms including Sudarshan Chits Fund, Sudarshan Trading Company, Feroke Tile Works and Standard Furniture, besides hotels in Chennai and Bengaluru.
