Rice basmati remained weak for the second day and prices fell further by Rs 100 per quintal on the wholesale grains market today due to subdued demand against adequate stocks position.
However, barley rose on increased offtake by consuming industries.
Traders said subdued demand against adequate stocks position on increased arrivals mainly kept pressure on rice basmati prices.
