Russell Brand wanted to have kids to control me: Katy Perry

Singer Katy Perry says ex-husband Russell Brand wanted to have kids to control her.

The 29-year-old 'Roar' hitmaker said she was not ready to make those sacrifices, reported Daily Mirror.

"When I decide to have a family, I'll just want to be Mom for a little bit... [Brand] really wanted me to have children, and I knew I wasn't ready - I think it was a way of control," she said.

Perry married comedian Russell Brand on October 23, 2010 in Rajasthan.

The couple ended their 14-months marriage filling for divorce on December 30, 2011.
