Salons remain close in Muzaffarnagar to protest youth murder

Hair dressing shops today remained closed in Muzaffarnagar in protest against the killing of a local barber who was shot dead by two unidentified men.
The barbers' association in the town, which recently witnessed communal violence that claimed 62 lives, had called the shut down after a 28-year-old youth, Abid, was shot dead on October 9.
Abid was shot dead by two motorcycle-borne men on Pachenda road while he was returning home from his hair dressing shop, triggering protests by locals who indulged in brick batting.
