Select pulses remain weak on adequate stocks

Select pulses prices fell further upto Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today on adequate stocks position against easing demand from retailers.

Marketmen said besides adequate stocks position on higher supplies from producing regions, fall in demand from retailers at current levels mainly kept select pulses prices lower.

In the national capital, moong remained at selling pressure and eased to Rs 7,000-7,550 against last close of Rs 7,000-7,750 per quintal. Its dal chilka local, moong dhoya local and best quality followed suit and enquired lower by Rs 200 each to Rs 7,450-7,850, Rs 7,850-8,350 and Rs 8,350-8,550 per quintal, respectively.
 

Gram, gramdal local and best quality also weakened by Rs 50 each to Rs 4,750-5,150, Rs 4,950-5,250 and Rs 5,250-5,450 per quintal, respectively.

Following are today's pulses rates (in Rs per quintal):

Urad Rs 8,800-11,100, Urad Chilka (local) Rs 9,600-9,800, Urad best Rs 9,700-10,300, Dhoya Rs 10,100-10,500, Moong Rs 7,000-7,550, Dal Moong Chilka local Rs 7,450-7,850, Moong Dhoya local Rs 7,850-8,350 and best quality Rs 8,350-8,550.

Masoor small Rs 4,750-5,000, bold Rs 4,800-5,050, Dal Masoor local Rs 5,500-6,000, best quality Rs 5,600-6,100, Malka local Rs 5,700-6,200, best Rs 5,800-6,200, Moth Rs 5,300-5,700, Arhar Rs 7,500, Dal Arhar Dara Rs 10,600-12,300.

Gram Rs 4,750-5,150, Gram dal (local) Rs 4,950-5,250, best quality Rs 5,250-5,450, Besan (35 kg), Shakti Bhog Rs 2,140, Rajdhani Rs 2,140, Rajma Chitra Rs 4,950-6,250, Kabuli Gram small Rs 5,000-7,000, Dabra Rs 2,700-2,800, Imported Rs 4,700-5,100, Lobia Rs 5,000-5,200, Peas white Rs 2,950-2,975 and green Rs 3,250-3,350.
