Press Trust of India Jammu

Police has booked the seven people for the ghero and violent protests against two former interlocutors, a senior Police officer said.

Those booked included state BJYM chief Munish Sharma and few more activists of BJYM and another party.

An FIR has been registered, he said.

The BJYM activists yesterday staged a violent protest against two former interlocutors-- veteran journalist Dilip Padgaonkar and academician Radha Kumar -- and forced to turn back from the venue where they were to meet various delegations to gather feedback on report submitted to the Union Home Ministry last year.

The interlocutors brought the matter to the notice of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah following which police acted swiftly and a case was registered.
