Actress Sigourney Weaver, who launched her film career with a starring role in director Ridley Scott's 1979 sci-fi classic "Alien", is set to reteam with the helmer in his upcoming project.
Weaver, 63, will portray the mother of Ramses played by "Zero Dark Thirty" star Joel Edgerton, said the Hollywood Reporter.
Christian Bale will star as Moses in the biblical epic, which is scheduled to begin shooting in September in Spain, Morocco and England.
Peter Chernin is producing the film alongside Scott.
Weaver recently finished Tony-winning Broadway play Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike.
