Silver prices declined by 0.19 per cent to Rs 37,383 per kg in futures trade Wednesday as speculators reduced their exposure to book profits.
At the Multi commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in March 2019 contract fell by Rs 70, or 0.19 per cent to Rs 37,383 per kg in a business turnover of 78 lots.
In a similar fashion, the metal for delivery in February was trading Rs 61, or 0.16 per cent lower at Rs 37,419 per kg in 145 lots.
Traders said offloading of bets by participants to book profits mainly influenced silver prices at futures trade here but a firm trend overseas, limited the losses.
Globally, silver rose 0.38 per cent, to USD 14.76 an ounce in New York.
