Singapore Airlines today announced the introduction of a pass for Indian customers to enable them avail special fares for flights to US, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and China.
Called the 'Asia AirPass' exclusively launched for Indian customers, it would enable travellers from here flying long- haul beyond Singapore to Hong Kong, China, Japan, US, Australia and New Zealand to "avail of special add-on fares between Singapore and destinations within North Asia and South-East Asia for a maximum of four sectors," an airline statement said.
These passes would be on sale till March 31 next year and bookings can be made from SIA offices in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Kochi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Thiruvananthapuram and Visakhapatnam and travel agents.

Apart from special fares, transit passengers could collect a complimentary 40 Changi Dollar Voucher for use at participating shops, restaurants and lounges at Singapore's Changi Airport, a spokesperson said.
Commenting on the launch of the Airpass, G M Toh, SIA's General Manager India said it would provide "the convenience of multi-city itineraries at economical prices and more productive use of customers' business or leisure travel time".
With 107 weekly flights from 11 Indian cities to Singapore and seamless connections to almost 100 cities worldwide, SIA and SilkAir were "preferred carriers for travellers who choose or need to visit multiple destinations in Asia", Toh said.
