Sunil Singh, the secretary of Alamganj Children's Cultural Centre today lodged separate complaints with the District Magistrate, district Superintendent of Police and Inspector In-Charge of Burdwan police station against Khokan Das, Trinamool Congress councillor of ward number 23, of leading a mob on June 12 and trying to grab hold of the Centre's premises.
In his complaint, Singh alleged the mob retreated after a complaint was filed with the Burdwan police station, only to return late at night.

The mob was then led by Das and was armed with sticks and iron rods and they barged inside his house, threatening his father Basanta Singh (82) to hand over his son or face dire consequences, Sunil alleged.
Since Sunil was not at home, the mob went back, but the elderly man suffered a cardiac arrest due to shock. He was rushed to a private medical facility where he died next day.
Priyabrata Bakshi, IIC, Burdwan police station admitted of receiving Singh's complaint, but refused to give any more details.
Councillor Khokan Das accused Sunil Singh of misappropriating funds of the Centre and said since he had pointed out the anomalies in a meeting with District Magistrate Soumitra Mohan, who is also the Centre's president, Singh was trying to falsely frame him.
DM Mohan said a section of local residents including Das had approached him alleging financial irregularities at the Centre and he had summoned all concerned for a meeting.
In the meeting it was decided that Singh would submit all documents for scrutiny and reply to the allegations on June 17, the DM said.
