Arambagh, Kashipur-Belgachia seats go to Trinamool Congress

In Arambagh, Trinamool candidate Krishna Chandra Santra won by 36,457 votes defeating his nearest rival Asit Malik of CPI(M).

In Kashipur-Belgachia seat, Trinamool's Mala Saha won by 25,810 votes against CPI(M)'s Kaninika Bose.

In the remaining 290 seats, Trinamool is leading in 205 seats, while the Left-Congress alliance is leading in 77 seats.
In Beleghata seat, Trinamool's Paresh Paul won by a

margin of 26,179 votes against his nearest rival Rajib Biswas of CPI(M).

In Nadia district's Santipur seat, Congress' Arindam Bhattacharya defeated Trinamool's Ajoy Dey by a margin of 19,488 votes.

In Pursurah, M Nuruzzaman of Trinamool won by 29,127 votes. His nearest rival was Pratim Singha Roy of Congress.
 

In Entally, Trinamool's Swarna Kamal Saha defeated CPI(M) leader Debesh Das by 27,988 votes.

In Goghat, Trinamool's Manas Majumdar won by 30,886 votes against his nearest rival Biswanath Karak of All India Forward Bloc.

So far, results of nine seats in the West Bengal Assembly polls have been declared, of which Trinamool won eight and Congress secured one.

In the remaining 285 seats, Trinamool is leading in 207 while the Left-Congress alliance is ahead in 77 seats.
State Tribal Affairs Minister and Trinamool candidate

Sukumar Hansda retained his Jhargram seat in the Left-Wing Extremism affected area by a heavy margin of 55,228 votes.

His nearest rival in the tribal belt was famous Santhali actress Birbaha Hansda who got 44,005 votes in her favour as Jharkhand Party (Naren faction) candidate.

Former BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya's daughter Baishali won Bally constituency in Howrah district on Trinamool ticket. She defeated her nearest rival Saumendranath Bera of the CPI-M by 15,403 votes.

Trinamool leader and state Assembly Speaker Biman Banerjee won comfortably by 36,532 votes from Baruipur Paschim seat.

Footballer Dipendu Biswas, who was fielded by the TMC from South Basirhat seat, defeated BJP's only sitting MLA Samik Bhattacharya by over 24,000 votes.

Trinamool leader Abdur Razzak Mollah, who had allegedly used derogatory language against actress-turned-BJP leader Roopa Ganguly during electioneering, won Bhangar seat in South 24 Parganas district.
State Panchayat Minister Subrata Mukherjee won by a margin

of 15,225 from the Ballygunge seat defeating Congress candidate Krishna Debnath.

Education Minister Partha Chatterjee won the Behala Paschim seat by 8,896 votes against his nearest rival Kaustav Chatterjee of the CPI-M.

Trinamool leader and minister Arup Roy retained his Howrah Central seat, which he won by 52,994 votes against JD(U)'s Amitabha Dutta.

In Jorasanko constituency of north Kolkata, where the Vivekananda flyover collapse killed 26 people on March 31, Trinamool's Smita Bakshi won by a margin of 6,290 votes defeating senior BJP leader Rahul Sinha.

In the hills of Kalimpong, GJM leader Sarita Rai won by 11,431 votes against sitting MLA Harka Bahadur Chettri, who had resigned from GJM and was fighting as an Independent, supported by Trinamool.

Trinamool minister Javed Ahmed Khan won from Kasba by 11,884 votes against CPI-M's Shatarup Ghosh.

Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind leader Siddiqullah Chowdhury, who was contesting for Mangalkot seat on a Trinamool ticket, has won by 11,874 votes.
Trinamool nominee and state minister Sadhan Pande won

from Maniktala seat by a strong margin of 25,311 votes by defeating his nearest rival Rajib Majumdar of CPI(M).

Bengali filmstar and Trinamool MLA Chiranjeet Chakrabarti retained his Barasat seat by defeating Forward Bloc leader Sanjib Chattopadhyay by 24,999 votes.

Singer Indranil Sen won on Trinamool ticket from Chandernagore seat by a small margin of 2,114 votes against CPI(M)'s Goutam Sarkar.

North Bengal Development Minister and Trinamool nominee Goutam Deb won from Dabgram-Fulbari seat in Jalpaiguri district by 23,811 votes against CP(M)'s Dilip Singh.

State's food processing minister Krishnendu Narayan Chowdhury lost his Englishbazar seat by a heavy margin of 39,727 votes against independent candidate Nihar Ranjan Ghosh.

In Raidighi, sitting Trinamool MLA and actress Debasree Roy defeated CPI-M veteran and former state minister Kanti Ganguly by a narrow margin of 1,229 votes.
