Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section for select southern destinations rose by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market today largely on the back of tight position of trucks.
Transporters said tight position of trucks coupled with pick up in cargo movements, mainly pushed up freight rates for select southern destinations.
Delhi to Kochi and Puducherry freight rates improved by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 73,000 and Rs 68,000.
Mysore and Coimbatore freight rates also went up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 65,000 and Rs 71,000.
Elsewhere, rates for other centres from capital were maintained at last levels.
