Srei BNP Paribas recorded a 20.8 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 27.62 crore for the second quarter of this fiscal, compared to Rs 22.85 crore in the corresponding period last year.
The disbursement of the company, registered as Srei Equipment Finance Limited, was Rs 2,220 (rpt) 2,220 crore during the quarter, its CEO D K Vyas said, adding that the major business verticals were construction equipment, among others.
He said that the company had entered new verticals like financing of healthcare equipment, rural equipment and pre-owned construction equipment.

Gross NPA of the company declined to 4.43 per cent during the quarter, he said.
Vyas said that the company might tap the overseas market for raising funds, apart from considering domestic options.
