Sugar prices declined by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale sugar market at national capital today following weak demand amid regular supply from mills.
Marketmen said reduced offtake by stockists and retailers amidst pressure from mills mainly weighed on sweetner prices.
Sugar ready M-30 and S-30 prices dropped by Rs 50 to finish at Rs 3,350-3,500 and Rs 3,330-3,480 per quintal.

Mill delivery M-30 and S-30 prices also settled lower at Rs 3,160-3,340 and Rs 3,140-3,320 per quintal.
In millgate section, sugar thanabhavan and budhana lost Rs 45 each to Rs 3,225 and Rs 3,235 per quintal.
Prices of Dorala dropped by Rs 35 at Rs 3,245 and Mawana lost Rs 25 at Rs 3,250 per quintal.
