Mohinder Kaur, (88), wife of former education minister late Sukhjinder Singh and mother of AAP MLA and the Leader of Opposition in Punjab Assembly Sukhpal Singh Khaira was cremated at her native village Ramgarh here today.
She died in Chandigarh yesterday after prolonged illness. She was survived by six daughters and son Khaira.
A large number of AAP workers, leaders and MLAs attended the funeral. Khaira lit the pyre.
Kaur was born to Major Jagat Singh and Bhagwan Kaur at village Khera Dona falling in the erstwhile princely state of Kapurthala in the year 1929.
