Sumitra Mahajan inaugurates CGHS centre in Indore

Lok Sabha Speaker and local MP Sumitra Mahajan today inaugurated a centre of Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) here.

It is the 28th centre in country. The central government employees have been demanding a centre in the city since the last 15 years.

The Lok Sabha Speaker formally inaugurated the centre at Malcolm Quarters in Navratan Bagh area. On the occasion CGHS Director General N S Kang was also present.

"The central government employees have got the gift of this centre after struggling for it for a long period. It will benefit central government employees, pensioners and their dependents," the Speaker said on the occasion.
 

Mahajan suggested that Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) hospital situated in Nanda Nagar area of the city should be linked to the CGHS.

Central Government Employees Welfare and Coordination Committee's (CGEWCC) Secretary, Madhukar Pawar said the CGHS building was constructed at a cost of Rs 90 lakh.

For treatment, two doctors, two pharmacists and two nurses have been appointed. It will also provide medicines for general ailments.
