Teenage girl attempts suicide after abduction, gang-rape

A 17-year-old girl attempted suicide after she was allegedly abducted and gang-raped by five persons in Alwar district of Rajasthan.

On February 18, the girl was allegedly abducted and gang-raped in Hamirpur village of Alwar, police said.

On Wednesday, she jumped into a well but was rescued by family members and was hospitalised, police said today.

Her condition is stable.

Main accused identified as Kalu Ram, aged 21 years, has been arrested and others are being searched, police said.
