A 14-year girl old was allegedly raped in Mohagain village of Bihar's Nawada district today and the accused is on the run, police said.
"The incident took place this morning when the girl had gone out of her home. The accused identified as Karu Yadav, who belongs to the same village, overpowered her and raped her there," said Govindpur SHO, Dharmendra Kumar.
The girl somehow managed to come back to her house and narrated the incident to her family members, he added.
The accused is absconding and efforts are on to nab him, Kumar said, adding, the victim has been sent to Nawada sadar hospital for medical examination.
