Telangana govt to provide Internet connection to households

The Telangana government aims to provide Internet connection to households by laying optical fibre lines along with the pipelines of its drinking water project, IT minister K T Rama Rao said today.

Rao, who held a meeting with officials, said optical fibre lines would be laid along with the pipelines under 'Mission Bhagiradha' drinking water project, according to a state government release.

He asked the officials to prepare estimates on requirement of the funds for the initiative, the release added.
