TN assembly passes resolution against nod for Mekedatu dam DPR

The Assembly Thursday adopted a resolution unanimously urging the Centre to withdraw the permission given to for a detailed project report for its proposed dam across at Mekedattu.

A specially convened session of the assembly passed the resolution moved by K Palaniswami Thursday evening after a brief discussion.

It urged the "to immediately order the to withdraw the permission given to for preparing the DPR."
