Two persons were arrested for allegedly thrashing an under-trial to death at Bhensi village under Khatoli police station here, police said today.
Brijbir and Anil were arrested yesterday for thrashing 20-year-old Ashwani, who was caught red-handed while stealing at the former's house on March 15, they said.
The victim was assaulted by Brijbir and five others and handed over to police. Ashwani was later sent to judicial remand.
His health deteriorated and succumbed to his injuries on March 19 at a hospital, police said.
A case has been registered against six persons following the complaint by the victim's mother, they said.
Search is on to nab the remaining culprits, police added.
