Two killed in clash between rival groups

Two persons were killed and four others injured today in a clash between two rival groups in Khalaur village under Jahangirabad police station here, police said.

The incident took place during the allotment of a fair price shop for which elections were taking place in the village. The groups opened fire during the clash in which two were killed, they said.

The Sub-Divisional Magistrate of the area was conducting the election without giving informing the police, Circle Officer Shreshtha claimed.

The injured were taken to the district hospital.
