Two killed in road accident on Ballia

Two persons were killed and seven others injured in a road accident today in Haldi police station area of the district.

The incident took place near Gayagaon village when a motorcyclist slipped on the road and the driver of a jeep, coming from opposite direction, tried to avoid hitting the two-wheeler, causing the four-wheeler to overturn, police said.

Amarjit Giri (42) and the jeep driver Arjun (30) were killed on the spot. The injured were admitted to the district hospital, they said.
