US Capitol,White House on lockdown,reports of shots at Capitol

The US Capitol and the White House were put on lockdown today after reports of shots fired at the Capitol Visitors Center, where tourists gather to take tours, witnesses said.

Those at the Capitol were ordered to shelter in place. Congress was in recess today for the Easter holiday, but it is a busy week for tourists in Washington.
