Second seed Vikram Malhotra defeated third seed Mahesh Mangaonkar in what was the first ever all-Indian final in a PSA World Tour away event, the North of Scotland Open Open Squash Tournament 2017, in Aberdeen.
According to a SRFI release, it was a close contest that lasted 66 minutes in which Vikram edged out Mahesh 3-11, 11-8, 6-11, 13-11, 11-4.
Earlier in the semifinals, Mumbai player Mangaonkar had stunned top-seed Richard Fallows of England while Mahesh had beaten Eain Yow Ng of Malaysia.
